Ministry Staff
Rev. Hal Parris, Pastor
Rev. Hal Parris began serving as Pastor at Cleveland First Baptist Church in January 2006. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from North Greenville University. He also has a Master of Divinity degree with an emphasis in Biblical Languages from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. At the age of 30, Pastor Hal surrendered to God's call to the ministry. Prior to coming to Cleveland, he served for six years at State Line Baptist Church in Gaffney, SC as youth minister and later as associate pastor. He and his wife, Ruth, have two sons, Wilson and Thomas.
Brent Hardy, Minister of Students and Evangelism
Brent Hardy is originally from Dillon, South Carolina. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Intercultural Studies from North Greenville University. He began serving as Youth Minister at Cleveland First Baptist in December 2007. Brent served at Pinehill Baptist Retreat for 10 summers in a variety of positions. It was at Pinehill that Brent felt God's call to ministry.
Joseph Hudson, Minister of Music
Joseph Hudson is the latest addition to our staff. He is currently pursuing a degree from North Greenville University. Previously, he has served as Student and Music Intern as well as Recreation and Athletics Pastor with Clearview Baptist Church in Travelers Rest, South Carolina.
Support Staff
Dona Dunn, Ministry Assistant
Dona Dunn began as Ministry Assistant to Cleveland First Baptist Church in July 2005. She keeps things running smoothly around the office. In April 2008, she was certified as Ministry Assistant by the South Carolina Baptist Convention. She and her husband, David, have 3 children and 5 grandsons.
Patty Hall, Caretaker
Patty has served Cleveland for many years by taking care of the buildings. She and her husband, Freddie, have 2 daughters, Brittany and Kelly.
